ATHLETICS.
OTAGO AND CANTERBURY CENTRES. [Faoii Oob Correspondent.] DUNEDIN, July 17. At last night's meeting of the OtagC Centre of the Amateur Athletic Association a complaint was received from the Canterbury Association regarding the unwelcome criticism of that body. Air Rosevear, who presided, said that if the Otago. Centre's secretarj had made the remarks attributed tc him the speaker was sure no reflection was intended. Mr Breen said that if the Canterbury Centre was looking for trouble he could prove the statements, but as for attacking the personnel of the Cahteis bury Centre he had not intended to do so, and to say that he had was wholly incorrect. If he nad said anything it was in the interests of sport. The shoe evidently pinched pretty badly, or the Canterbury Centre would not have taken the matter as it had. It visas decided that the secretary should writ© to the Canterbury Centre stating that.no reflection was intended.
