The sub-committee's appointed to revise the Northern Agricultural and Pastoral Association's show prize schedule met yesterday and carried out its duties". Very few alterations were found necessary, and those made were chiefly of a minor character.

The following committees were also appointed:—Horso parade—Messrs K. M'lntosh, J. D. Wyllie, B. Ferguson, W. Scoon, R. M'lntosh and J. Wyllio. Protests—The president, vice-presidents and Messrs J. W. Foster and J. Stevenson. Referee committee—The president and Messrs J. W. Foster, G. Rutherford and A. S. Olarkson. Special prize allocation —President, vice-presidents, Messrs J. W. Foster and A; S. Clarkson.

Messrs T. Lillico and A. A. Johnston were appointed honorary veterinary surgeons.

It was decided to award champion ribbons for male and female champions in the pure-bred cattle classes. After, the special committee had completed its work a mooting of the General Committee was held, when thorp was an attendance of nineteen members. The president (Mr A. M'lntosh) was in tlite chair. The schedule as revised by the committees and the stewards, judges and committees appointed were approved of. Mr C. Leech wrote thanking the members of the Association for electing him a patron and accepting office. The director of the Kaiapoi. Technical School wrote stating that the wool-sorting class was now in full swing under a competent instructor, and if sufficient names were" offered a second class would bo /formed. A letter was received from Mr T. R. Cresswell resigning his seat on the General Committee iu accordance with the suggestion of the committee, and expressing the hope that Mr S. A.'Clark, act-ing-principal of the High School, would be elected iu his place. Mr Cresswell's resignation was accepted, and Mr Clark was placed on tho committee. A letter was received from tho Rangiora Brass Rand stating that the band intended to compete at the contests in Christchurch in November, and desired permission to use the Show Ground for general practice on Sundays, and in the event of -wot weather to bo allowed to use the produce shed. The application was granted. It was decided to ask the Agricultural Department for tho attendance of two Government veteriimiv surgeons at the show. On the motion of 3Jx T. Wyllis it was resolved to add to the regulations "That all stallions three years of age and over must produce a. Government veterinary certificate of freedom from hereditary unsoundness, which must have been issued on or alter August 1."
