CURRENT NOTICES.
Mr Ralph Gebbie, evangelist, Moorhouso Avenue Church of Christ, is delivering a series of sermons on Christian fundamentals. To-morrow evening his subject will be, " If a Man Die, bhall He Live Again?" , This afternoon, at three o'clock, Bishop Julius will lay the foundation stone of a new mission room, which is to be erected at tho corner of Fisher Street and Beckenlmm Street, Beckenham.
A jumble sale will bo held in the Methodist Schoolroom, Brougham Street, Sydenham, this afternoon, commencing at three o'clock. The New Zealand representative of the British and Foreign Bible Society will address a' series of services and meetings in Christchurch and North Canterbury. To-morrow he will speak at Avonside in the morning, and St John's at 6.30 p.m. On July 22 he will speak at St Paul's, Papanui, at 2.30 p.m.,, and at St Andrew's in the evening. On July 26 he will be at Kniapoi on July 27 at Cheviot, on July 28 at Amber-fey, oh July 29 at Waikari, July 30 at Hanmer. and on August 2 at Rotherham and Waiau. A course of six lectures on bacteriology will be delivered by Dr Pearson at Canterbury College, commencing on Friday, July 24, at 8 p.m. A meeting of subscribers to tho Charles Kerr memorial fund will be held in the Railway Hotel, on AVednesday. July 22, at 8 p.m. Mr Dan Crawford, F.R.G.S., who will arrivo in Christchureh to-day, will, in addition to his other engagements, deliver one of his remarkable addresses at tho evening service to-morrow at Trinity Congregational Church. At the Durham Street Methodist Church to-morrow evening, the Rev Percy Knight will speak on the subject, " What Was It, a Clap of Thunder or tho Song of Angels?" The annual parade of the Hookey Clubs attached to the Oxford Ten-ace Baptist Church will be held to-morrow evening, when tho subject of the Rev J. J. North's sermon will be " A Weak Athlete." To-morrow afternoon the members of St Andrew's Choir will give a special musical programme at the Methodist Mission in the Grand Theatre, and solos. In the evening tho Rev J. Cocker will preach a special sermon to women.
