SCHOOL OF ART.
EXHIBITION TO OPEN TO-DAY. Aii interesting exhibition of pictures will be opened to-day in the School of Art at 3 p.m. The exhibition is being held by the Students' Association, which has replaced the guild which existed in connection with the School. The exhibition' is both diverse and neritorious. It consists of the work of senior students and ex-students, and some of the exhibits will attract considerable attention. Although oils predominate, there are some excellent examples in Avater-colours; and a section devoted to etchings, though small, is decidedly promising, especially in view of the fact that form has been introduced only recently. A case of silver and enamel-ware, and some fine samples of needlework, complete the exhibits. •
To-day the public will he invited, and is two hundred and forty replies have jeon received in answer to .two hundred and fifty, invitations, a large attendance is' expected. The exhibition will also be open this evening at eight o'clock. An art union will be held in connection with the; exhibition.
