Tho Mount Morgan Leviathan Company's half-yearly report shows tho incomo to have been £459,606 and tho profit £103,51X1. Tho sum of £120,352 has been carried forward. The ltoss goldfields mine superintendent reports on tho work for the week ended July 9 as follows: — “ Sixth level workings—No. 6 south has been driven to l"o6ft from the opening and got into poor wash. This drive has been stopped and blocking commenced eight feet from the fuce. No. 7 'south is in 40ft from tho opening; wash it payable. No. 3 north has been extended to 40ft from the. opening in poor wash. Tills drive will be extended a further distance of 24ft in order that a new shoot, which will bo known as No. 4, may be risen. No. 2 east has boon extended to 144 it east of No. 6 south drive. The face is in low grade wash. One party is blocking in No. 5 south and one in No. 6 south, in wash of payable quality.”
