The Kittawa left Greymouth yesterday for Lyttelton with timber, and is due to-porrow. The Taviuni and Kowhai will reach here to-morrow. SHIPPING NOTES. There is every indication that the present week will be somewhat quiet along the waterfront. To-day tho Northern will sail for Dunedin, and on Thursday the Turakina and Delphic will leave for Napier and Dunedin respectively. Two or three colliers are due in the course of a few days, but as far as ocean going linerß are concerned none ore due until next week. En route from London to New Zealand end on her maiden voyage, the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Star of England arrived at Auckland yesterday. Under her present itinerary the vessel will not call at Lyttelton to discharge cargo, but in all probability she may visit here to load for Home. This riiorning the steamer Northern, under charter to the Federal and Shire Line, will complete discharge of her Liverpool cargo, and sail for Dunedin. Thence the Northern, will go to Australia to load wheat for Great Britain. There are two or three days’ work still id be done on board the Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Delphic, and consequently it will bp Thursday next before the vessel sails for Dunedin to complete discharge. Tho New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Turakina. which arrived in port on Sunday from Port Chalmers, will not sail iotr Napier and other ports until Thurs-, day next. In the meantime the vessel will load a quantity of wool, frozen meat, tallow and a number of other lines. The auxiliary Bcrew schooneT Huia is expected in Lyttelton this morning from Port Chalmers. The vessel will discharge a quantity of explosives here, and is expected-' to load a cargo of produce for Auckland. , , The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s liner Kia Ora left Monte Video on Thurs-' day afternoon last for London in continuation of her voyage from Wellington to Lonfloij.
