TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Last week a news agent in this city was prosecuted and heavily fined for selling indecent lite?ature. I would point out that small, struggling booksellers of Christchurch procure this literature locally from wholesale firms, whose travellers encourage its sale to increase their own business.
