A quantity of suffragette cards was found near, in- ' seribed with the words, " A reply to the Government. A reply to torturers." A riverside mansion near Windsor was also set on fire, but was extinguished. On the occasion of Sir Edward Carson's arrival .at t Belfast, mill-girls niobbeH several suffragettes, stripped one,of nearly all her clothing and ispanked her with her own shoes, stona policeman who came to tho fj'escue. .
