AKAROA. ( The monthly meeting of the Akaro* County Council was held on Saturday at Duvauchelle; present—Messrs Bruce (chairman), J. Thacker, C. Thaofeer and Williams. The Halswell County Council met on Tuesday; present—Messrs' Eaglesome (chairman), Morten, W. Gilniour, Fanner and J. Gilmour. The Hospital Board wrote stating that the amount required from the Council for the current -year was £484 6s lid. The letter was received. Mr Carpenter wrote regarding the state of the cottage rented by him. The matter was referred to Mr Forbes. The Christchurch Domain Board wrote stating that the amount due by the Council tor the current year was £29 10s.. The letter was received.
