While excavating work in connection with a new infirmary at Chester was being carried out, the grave of a Roman lady was revealed, which Professor Newstnad estimated to be. 1700 years old. it contained tho skeleton, with a coin inserted in her mouth, a mirror, sandals and fragments of Roman pottery and glass.
