—. ♦ 'ANNUAL MEETING OF DOMINION COUNCIL. The anuual meeting of tlie Dominion Boy Scouts Council was held at the Y.M.C.A. on Tuesday. Tho Dominion Commissioner, Colonel Cossgrove, V.D., presided, and there was a fair attendance. Tho chairman read the annual report and balance-sheet, which showed a balance in hand of £2O Os (3d. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. Tlie following donations were- received :—Hon W. F. Massey £2 2s, Mr Orton Bradley £2, Anonymous £2 2s. Hie Chief Commissioner stated that he had appointed tlie Council for tho ensuing year, with the addition of Sir Cecil Moon, and that he was approaching tho Hon W. F. Massey, Prime Minister, to ask him to accept the position of patron. The following were elected tho executive:—Dr Feriwick, 5.0. M.. Dr Inelis 5.0. M., Colonel Cresswoll, V.D., i Sir Cecil Moon, Rev W. H- Orbell, H S W., and Mr H. S. J. Goodman, H.S.W. MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Executive Committee was subsequently lield. The Dominion Commissioner, Colonel Cossgrove V.D., presided, and there were also present Dr luglis, S-0.M., Colonel Cresswell, V.D., Rev W. H. Orbell, H.S W and Mr H. S. J.. Goodman, H.S.W. , , , Mr Orbell was re-elected honorary secretary for the ensuing year, Mr H. S. J. Goodman, honorary treasurer; Colonel Oressivell, trustee; Mr H- H. Smith, auditor; and Dr Fenwick, chairman. Letters were received from various centres regarding the examination of Scoutmasters. It was decided that the matter was a question for the local committee, as no regulations were in existence for compelling Scoutmasters to be examined. Tho District Commander from Geraldino wrote regarding tho appointment of"a committee at Temukn. It was decided that the chairman slmuld arrange for a serrarate district at Temuka. and that Mr Jones, of Timaru, should bo asked to look into the matter.
