NO-LICENSE.
THE COMING FIGHT AT MASTER-' TON. rFsou Our Corkespondeot.] MJS3TERTON, May 14. There promises to be a very bitte? fight at Masterton over the no-lieensa question. Both sides are said to be organising strongly. The Wairapara Presby-, tery at its monthly meeting yesterday, decided to urge the people of Masterton ; and the Wairarapa electorates to sup-: port local no-license and national pro-, nibition. • . , r ! The general opinion in Masterton : Beems to be that on a three-fifths majority there is no possible chance of restoration being carried, but that with a fiftv-five per cent, or bare majority, license will be restored. It may be remarked, however, tha* many people in Masterton who vot* against local prohibition nevertheless* strongly support national prohibition.
