At the Manufacturers' AVeek luncheon Mr Pratten, president of the Chamber of Manufacturers, pointed out that in 1912 the value of the raw material used by Commonwealth factories was £9,000,000 more than it was in 1911. • .
The number also of wage-earners had increased by 15,744, and the value cf the factories' output by £15,000,000.
