Mr P. 0. Neill left for Wellington ftwt evening. I Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M., left for Wellington last night. 1 Mr 0. A. Wilkinson, M.P., left for Wellington last evening. ; Mr T. W. Reese left for Wellington ! last night by the ferry steamer. The Hon R. H. Rhodes, PostmasterGeneral, returned north last evening. Mr E. H. Hiley, General Manager of the Railways, will visit Hanmer to-day. The Rev P. Wilson, of the Albury Presbyterian Church, has accepted a call to Mayfield, Ashburton. Messrs J. Robertson, D. M'Pherson, it. A. Soott and C. A. Anderson ar{ived from the north yesterday mornag. The Hon F. M. B. Fisher, Minister; for Marine, spent yesterday in Christchurch, and left for Wellington last evening. Mr H. F. Toogood, late engineer to the Hokitika Harbour Board, is in Christchurch. He will leave for Wellington this evening. Messrs G. H. Mason and C. Buchanan left for Wellington last night to attend the annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union. Mr S. F. Whitoombe, Traffio Superintendent of Railways for the South , Island, will accompany the Hon W. H. Hemes, Minister of Railways, on his visit to the West Coast this morning. The Rev Harold S. Perkins, of the Tennyson Street Congregational Church, has accepted a unanimous invitation to become the minister of the church %t Gore, and will commence his ministry there on August 2. His Grace Archbishop Redwood will Jeave for Sydney on the way to Rome >n Friday, by the Ulimaroa. At Sydney he will connect with the P. and O. <iner Maloja. leaving there on May 30, whioh will give his Grace an eleven Jays' stay in Sydney. He intends to return by way of Canada, Bishop Grimes will be in Methven from Saturday to Tuesday, when he will pay his first visit to the most recently established parish of his diocese. The visitation of the church has been announced for Saturday evening, and Bishop Grimes will preside at both masses on Sunday and will administer confirmation early in the afternoon. A welcome will be given to the Bishop on Monday evening. On Tuesday evening a short visit will be made to Rakaia.
