Dominion Meteorologist's summary and forecast: —Moderate to strong westerly winds bavs prevailed, with cloudy weather, and rain has fallen in many of the country parts, 'iho brrameter has risen considerably in thi north and 0, little in the touth. Present indications are for south-westerly breczen changing by west to north arc! increasing everywhere, increasing cloudiness with rain following generally, for a Westerly storm area appears to be approaching the South Island. The barometer will probably rise temporarily, but is likely to fall fast in the south by to-morrow night.
