Letter mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alerations:— Mails per express to Dunedn and south close daily at 7 a.m. and IX a.m.; late fee, i.e., letters bearing Id additional stamp, 11.15 a.m.; also mail van up to 8 a.m. and guard's van 11.55 a.m. train. Books and newspapers, 7 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. WEDNESDAY, MAY 13. For Dunedin, per Tarawera, at 11 a.m.; late fee letters 11.15 a.m*; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Knikoura, par Wakatu, at 3 p.m.; late fee lottors, 3.15 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Kaikoura, per Cygnet, at 6.45 p.m.; late feo letters, 6 p.m.; guards' van, 6.45 p.m. trnin. For Northern Ports, per Maori, at 6.15 p.m.: late foe letters, 6.45 p.m.; guard's ran, 7.40 p.m. train. THURSDAY, MAY 14. For Australian States, etc. (due Sydney 19th May), India, China, Ceylon, Japan, Hong Kong, Straits Settlements, South Africa, New Guinea, etc., also United Kingdom and Continent of Europo, etc. (due London 2lßt June, via Brindisi), per Wahino, to connect wilh Maunganui, 6.15 p.m.; Into feo letters, 6.45 p.m.; guard's van, 7.40 p.m. train; money orders, 4 p.m.; registered articles, 4.45 p.m.; books, packets and newspapers, 5.45 p.m. Mails despatched from Christchurch en 2nd April, via Brindisi, arrived in London on Bth instant.
