REPRESENTATION OF BRITAIN. MEMORIAL TO MR ASQUITH. “ Time*.”—Sydney “ Suri " Special Cablet. (Received March 6, 5.40 p.m.) LONDON, March 6. Three hundred and fifty members of the House of Commons have signed a memorial to Mr Asquith expressing a desire that Britain should bo represented at the Panama Exhibition. They state that the abstention probably will bo prejudicial to trade, and will also affect the cordial relations with the United States. FEELINgIn FRANCE. OPPOSED TO PARTICIPATION. Feeling against participation in the San Francisco Exhibition is growing, owing chiefly to dissatisfaction with American Customs methods. Members of Chambers of Commerce are petitioning Parliament against the proposal.
