THE MAYORALTY.

TO THE' EDITOR.

• Sir.—-Several names have appeared in your columns as, likely aspirants tor the Mayoralty, hut the announcement that Mr Holland will again offer his services has been received v'tli great satisfaction by all classes of the community. Coining'into close contact with large numbers of my fellowcitizens, I am convinced that tlu-rc is a’- very general desire that his Worship should hare another term of office. Of course, any man has tho right to offer his services, but in this instance the result of a contest would he such a foregone conclusion that roetliinks it would be a graceful act on the part of the citizens to return Mr Holland without tho worry and expense of an election.—l am, etc.,

TRUE BLUE,
