The Rev William Emery Barnes Hulsean, Professor of Divinity at Cambridge, accuses tho Upper House of Canterbury Convocation of paltering with the truth in retaining the damnatory clauses of the Athanasia'n creed. He protests against the House ordering the recitation of the revised translation once a year. This ho regards as an opportunity which dees not dare to face the fact that tho damnatory clauses contain a direct untruth. SELECTION OF IMMIGRANTS.
The " Manchester Guardian ” states that there are indications that Canada is about to make efforts to stem the tide of unsuitable immigrants such as clerks and unskilled labourers and concentrate energies on agriculturalists and domestics.
