LICENSING COMMITTEE.

LYTTELTON

The quarterly meeting of the Lyttelton Licensifig Committe was held at the Courthouse, Lvttelton, yesterday; present—Mr J. Garrard (chairman), Dr J. Guthrie and Messrs'J. Richardson and S. W. Mitchell.

The police reports in respect of the hotels were satisfactory, The following transfers were granted :—Heathcote Arms Hotel, Daniel (Mr C. A.. Stringer) to John Behrens; Empire Hotel, Lyttelton, Robert Henry Powell to Charles Joseph O’Malley. The committee decided to inspect the latter hotel to see if the structural alterations ordered had been effected.
