There was a large attendance of town and country people at tbo Hawke’s Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s Autumn Show, in delightful weather to-day. It was “Peoples Day,” and during the afternoon the crowd numbered about 12,000 people. Mr D. A. Hay (Auckland), judge of fruit, paid a high tribute to the orcharaists- and remarked that; fine as the exhibits were last the display this year exceeded anything that lie had seen, being practically without blemish.
