SUICIDE. [Per Pkess Association.] AUCKLAND, December 23. Albert Ernest Ede committed suicida by cutting hia throat at Avondalethis morning. He had become reconciled to his wife yesterday after three months' separation, duo to his drinking habits. The evidence showed that he had a fear of going insane. His mother died in an asylum, and his brother is now in a mental hospital at Sydney. A verdict of suicide while insane was returned. FOUND DROWNED. An inquest was held yesterday afternoon on tho body of Charles Mayo Harrow, a farmer residing at 71, Middleton Road, Riccarton, who was found drowned on Monday afternoon. Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M., presided and a verdict was returned that deceased was accidentally drowned by falling into a tank of water. DEATH FROM CEREBRAL HEMORRHAGE. An inquest was held last night corf cerning the death of Charles William Weller, who died on Monday, while being conveyed to the Hospital. The District Coroner, Mr H. W. Bishop presided. Mrs Eleanor Weller stated that her husband was thirty-sove-n years of age. Ho had lost work on account of tho strike and worried over it, especially on Monday morning. He returned home from work at 12.30 on Monday, and that was tho last she saw cf him' alive until 6-30 p.m., when he was brought home in a comatose condition. He cued within an hour of the time ho was brought home. Cyril Hill, a resident of Dallington, stated that the deceased called at his placo at 4.30 p.m., on Monday, and asked, for work, which was given him. Later, deceased seemed to be ill, _ and said that he thought he was bilious. Deceased went awav to go home. John Salkeld, a labourer residing in Linwood Avenue, said that he saw the deceased on tho roadside at Dallington, and took him home in a cart. D J. F. Duncan said that deceased died from cerebral hemorrhage, and the Coroner returned a verdict to that effect.
