SUGGESTED AUSTRALASIAN • TEAM. [Per Press Association/] AUCKLAND, December 22. A suggestion that New Zealand should join with Australia in establishing a fund with which to send an Australal sian team of athletes to compete at the ! Olympic Games in Berlin in 1916 is con* I tained in a letter which the Mayor, Mr i C. J. Parr, has received from the Lord Mayor of Sydney. The writer mentions that at a largo gathering of influential I citizens held in Sydney it was decided that such a fund should be established, each of the Australian States and New i Zealand starting a general Australasian fund. Mr Parr remarked to a- reporter that providing that it was possible for New Zealand to join in the Australasian movement on a satisfactory basis, he thought that the suggestion might be worth acting upon.
