PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Rangiora County Council, held in the County Council’s Office, nigh Street, Rangiora. at 2.30 o'clock p.m.. on • TUESDAY, tho Twenty-third Day of SEPTEMBER, 1913, a resolution was passed that in pursuance of tho powers and authorities conferred by “ Tho Counties Act, 1909,” and all other powers in that bcbalf them thereunto enabling, the Rangiora County Council, by way of Special Order, make and ordain the following By-law: Tho By-law may bo shortly cited as “ The Motor Drivers' By-law, 1913.” Prohibiting any person driving a Motorcar or Motor-cyclo in tho County without first obtaining from the Council Inspector a Certificate of ability to drive a Motor-cnr or Motor-cycle. Providing exceptions in cases of Visitors and Learners. Providing for applications for such Certificates. Prescribing tho fees to be paid on tho issue of such Certificate and providing for the recognition of Certificates issued bv other local authorities on payment of the difference between tho amount of the fee payable under tho By-law and that charged by tho other local authority. Providing for tho cancellation of Certificates. Providing for a penalty for the broach of tho By-law and the time when same shall come into force. AND it is hereby further publicly notified that the said resolution will be submitted for confirmation as a Special Order at a Special Meeting of the said Council to bo held at the Council’s New Office, Cam Mill Road, Rangiora, at. tho hour of 2.30 o’clock p.m., on TUESDAY, the Twenty-eighth Day of OCTOBER, 1913, and that a copy of such proposed By-law is deposited at tho said office of tho said Council, and will bo open to the inspection of the public during ordinary office hours on and from tho date hereof until the said confirming meeting is held.
