AKAROA CLUB. Tho annual meeting of tlie Akaroa Croquet Club was held in tho Borough Council Chambers on Friday afternoon, llr G. Armstrong presiding over a good attendance. Tho report ond balance-sheet showing receipts £l7 us lOd, and expenditure £l2 12s 9d, leaving n balance to credit of £2 13s id, was adopted. Tlio following officers wore elected: —Patron, lion R. 11. Rhodes; patroness, Mrs G Armstrong; president, Mrs J. D. Bruce; vice-presidents, Mesdames E. X. Leliovre, Cantrell and Jacobson and Shepherd; honorary Hecretary. Miss EJacobson; honorary treasurer, Miss F. Yangioni; committee, Mesdames Lewitt, Leet.e, Wilkins, Henning, Thomas, Kcrridgc. Pilkington and Bristow; auditor, Air H. W. Wilkins.

It was decided to open the season on October 9.
