THE CANTON MISSION.
“ EVERY MEMBER ” CAMPAIGN. In announcing tho results of the “every member” campaign, organised bv tho New Zealand Council of tho Presbyterian laymen’s missionary movement to collect funds for the Canton missionary, tho committee wishes it to be understood that none of the £4600 acknowledged' before the campaign is included. At the end of the campaign all will be included, so that every congregation will get credit for what it has actually contributed. As the results now appear, some districts and congregations appear at a disadvantage, but this is unavoidable until tho final results are announced. In the majority of cases a small contribution or tlie non-appear-ance of tho name of a church simply means that such congregations have contributed largely beforo tlie campaign, or that their, results aro nob final. ~ Tho results for tlie campaign up to and including September 30 are as follows : —.Auckland and Waikato £770, Wanganui and Taranaki £703. Hawke’s Bay *J243, Wellington and Wairarapa £519 Westland, Nelson and 31nrlborouVh . £2lO. Canterbury £1606, Otago” £1536, Southland £359; total, £5809.
