Two drug-crazed negroes at Harrison. Missouri, "shot up"' the town. Three whites, three negroes and one negress were killed' aud twenty injured. '' The shooting started at two o'clock in tho morning and lasted until ten.

After the first outbreak the assailants went to the station and attacked a train, killing the conductor, the flagman and a passenger. They directed their firo at the sleeping-car, but no occupants were injured. , The crowd lynched one assailant early, and a socond lynching ended the affray. The rope broke. A stronger rope was secured and the victim again hauled up the polo, a jeering crowd watching till he was d'ead.

The National Guard hurried to the scene to prevent a racial war.
