MAID NOTICES.

Letter mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations:—

Mails per express to Dunedin and South close daily at 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.; late fee, i.e., letters bearing Id additional stamp, 11.16 a.m.; also mail van up to 8 a.m. and guard's van, 11.55 a.m. train. Books and newspapers, 7 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30.

For Westport, per Canopus, at 1.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m.; guard's van, 2.45 p.m. train.

For Northern Ports, per Wahine, at '6.16 p.m.; lato foo letters, 6.45 p.m.; guard's van, 7.40 p.m. train.

WEDNESDAY, OOTOBER 1.

For Dunedin,'ppr.Maitoi, at 11 0.m.; late fee letters, 11.15 a.m.; guard's van, 11.55 a.m. train. For Northern Porte, per Monowai, at 6.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 6.45 p.m.; guard's van, 7.40 p.m. train. For Continent of Europe and United Kingdom, via Monte Video and Toneriffo (specially addressed correspondence only), per Monowai, to connect with lonic at 6.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 6.45 p.m.; guard's van, 7.40 p.m. tram; registered articles and parcels, 4.45 p.m.; books and newspapers, 5.45 p.m. train. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 2. For Chatham Islands, per Wahine, to connect with Himitongi, at 6.15 p.m.; late fee letters, C. 45 p.m.; van, 7.40 p.m. train. For Australian States, etc. (due Sydney Ootober 7), India, China, Geyfon, Hongkong, Straits Settlements, South Afrioa, etc., also Continent of Europe and United Kingdom, via Brindisi (due London November 7, per e.s.
