The Mararoa will bo the ferry steamer to--day. Owing to the heavy demand for rollingJ etock on Saturday, the Kamo and 'Waitemata were unable to leave port. Both vessels will . eail to-day. Yesterday morning the schooner Eliza Firth arrived in port from Kaipara with a full oargo of timber. After a two years’ tramp in foreign waters, the Capo Breton, at present chartered by the Vacuum Oil Company, and carrying case oil, has returned to New Zealand and arrived in Lyttelton yesterday. Stormy weather and the vessel’s heavily-laden condition made the trip from New York mudh longer than usual, the time occupied being eighty-two days. In addition, she was delayed at Durban for nine days in connection with replenishing her bunkers. The Cape Breton has about 20,000 oases of assorted oils to land here, and will leave later for Dunedin. TELEGRAPH NOTICE BOARD. AUCKLAND, September 27.
