JEREMY TAYLOR.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —In your sub-leader on JeremyTaylor in last Friday’s issue you don’t mention tho fact that ho was Chaplain-in-Ordinary to King Charles I. I notice there is a tendency in the case of illustrious Irishmen to merely state they were horn at such a date or educated at Eton or Cambridge, etc. I feel sure it is not always want of knowledge on the editor’s part. Trusting you will be generous enough to always give the Emerald Isle its due.— 1 CiC " ANTRIM.
