Tho Keep-it-Dark mino report for the month of May is as follows:—Tho main shaft has been sunk 34ft, making a total of 87 feet. The ground has been a mixture of sandstone and slate, but apnears to bo changing for the better." The rise above No. 8 level produced 13 feet, and the intermediate has been produced 46 feet on stone from four to fivo feet wide. A connection has been mado here with the winee from No. 7 level. Wo will now : start to stopo from this block of stone and extend No, 8 level. Tho winze below No. 8 has been sunk 38 feet, making a total depth from the intermediate of 50 feet. Repairs have been carried on in No. 8 level. Last month 364 tons of quartz were sent to the battery, and 360 tons woro crushed for a return of 40oa 6dwt of melted gold from tho battery and 360 z /"dwt of bullion from the cyanide, making a total of 760 z 13dwt.
