INCREASE EXPLAINED

PROVISION FOR AVIATION. United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright.

LONDON, March 17

Colonel Seely, Secretary for War, in a memorandum said that the increase in the estimates was principally due to aviation and insurance. The fifth and sixth squadrons would be raised during the current year. The supply of aeroplanes was proceeding slowly owing to the difficulty in obtaining British engines. Tho War Office, in conjunction with the Admiralty, was providing a remedy. Tho aeronaut officers and men during the current year would number over a thousand.
