WEATHER FORECASTS. Dominion Meteorologist's summary and forecast:—The barometer fell low in tho south during tho nicht, but has shown a rising tendency already this afternoon at the Bluff. .Westerly winds, strong to .a gale, have provailed, especially over tho South Island. Sultry weather has been reported to-day on tho east coast, and showery at times on the west coast of both islands. Prosent indications are for high westerly winds, veering to southerly, with equally weather condiions. Tho barometer will pro/bably fall in the north for a short time, and rise in the south, though it is very unsteady there, and a further fall is likely to follow a temporary rise. Changeable weather, with heavy showers and some electrical disturbances is probable in most parte of the dominion.
