The fifth annual meeting of tho Waltham Lrulies' Swimming Club was held in the Waltham School oti Monday, Dr C. J. Russell presiding over a large attnndance. Tho following officers were elected :—Patron. Dr C. J. Russell; president, Mrs Anderson; vice-presi-dents, Mcsdames Holland. Thacker, Papprill, Wilding, Love. Meikle. Ell, Griffon, Peppier. Hunter, Spence, Adams. MLa chin n, Maddrcn, Good, Allardice, Goodwin. Meikloham. Robertson, Pratt, Watlcins and Hill; club captain, Miss Eldridgc; vice-captain, Mrs Clements; lion secretary. Mrs Bambery ; lion treasurer. Miss Adams ; committee. Misses Brightling. Gunu, Vivian, O'Brien, Kiddie and Watson ; instructor and handicapper, Mr C. Kent; auditor, Mr J. J. Adams. LYTTELTON LADIES' CLUB. Tho annual gon'eral meeting of tho Lyttelton Ladies' Swimming Club was held on Friday, and was largely attended. Tho report as adopted showed that the club had had a. very successful season, with a good increase of members, the adult membership having increased from 7-1 to 77 and the juveniles from 1G to 36. The balance-sheet showed a- credit balance of £ll 12s. The following offieors were elected:— President, Mrs Colin Cook; vice-presi-dents, Mcsdanics G. Laurenson, A. J. Miller. J. Wilson. C. Brown,. T. M. Hunter and W. C. Cleary; captain, Miss L. Brown; vice-captain, Mrs E. Weastnll; hori secretary and treasurer. Miss M. Cook; general committee, Mesdames E. Brown, Hutchinson, W. M'Auliffe, C. Ma/.ey and Smith and Misses M. Clarke, A. Brown and Mickle: swimming committee, Mesdames Weastall, Hutchison and Atkinson and Misses Smith; D. Well, R. Hutchison, B. Harris, C. Thorpe and L. Brown; timekeeper and handicapper. Mr C. Mazcy. It was decided to hold tho opening day in conjunction with tho Lyttelton Gymnasium Swimming Club on T 1 "•'••-day, November 21, and to commo - swimming on tho afternoon of W.. -esday, October 23. Several new members were elected. RANGTOEA CLUB. A meeting of the newly-formed Rangiora Swimming Club was held on Monday evening, Mr C._ W. Bell presiding. Rules and regulations wero adopted. A large number of members wero elected. Tho club decided to open its season with a swimming carnival on October 31.
