Letter mails closo for tho foHowing places as under, subject to tho necessary alterations:—

Mails per express to Dunedin and South close daily at 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.; late fee, i.e., letters bearing Id'additional stamp, 11.15 a.m.; also mail van up to 8 a.m. and guard's van 11.55 a.m. train. Books and newspapers, 7 a.m. nnd a.m. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16.

For' Northern Ports, per Mararoa, at 4.15 p.m.; late feo letters, '1.30 p.m.; guard's van, 5.25 p.m. train. TUESDAY. SEPTEMBER 17.

For Northern Ports, Maori, at 6.13 p.m.; late feo letters, 6.45 p.m.; guard's van, 7.40 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18.

For Continent of Europe and .United Kingdom, via Monte Video and Teneriffe., to connect with Athenic (due London about October 31), per Mararoa, at 4.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 4.30 p.m.; guard's van, 5.25 p.m. train. Mails for Australian States, etc., per Moeraki, close at Bluff on September 16 zt 3.30 p.m.

Mails for Australian States, Pago Pago, Honolulu, Apia, United States and Canada per Victoria, close at Auckland on September IG. at,.4.15 p.m.

Tho next mail from tho United Kincdom is due in Christchurch on September 17 as follows:—Letters, 8 a.m., via Auckland; newspapers, 5.30 p.m.. via Bluff. This mail left London on August 9, via Naples.
