THE STEAMER PERSIA. United Press Association—By Eiectrio Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, July 14. The stranded steamer Persia is be-, ing unloaded. She is resting on the rocks amidships, and nil efforts to float her so far have proved unsuccessful. The Persia has been refloated. STRUCK A SUBMERGED WRECK. A Tokio message says that tho French cruiser Kleber struck a submerged wreck, which knocked a hole in her amidships. She was towed into Kobe. FERRY STEAMER TAKES GROUND. SUSTAINS SERIOUS DAMAGE.. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, July 15. During a heavy fog last night the ferry steamer Peregrine, a new vessel, went on tho rocky bottom at Stanley Bay. She was soon floated off, but the sternpest was shattered and the blades of the propeller and the shaft were badly bent.
