[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, July 15. During a heavy fog last night the ferry steamer Peregrine, a new vessel, went on tho rocky bottom at Stanley Bay. She was soon floated off, but the sternpest was shattered and the blades of the propeller and the shaft were badly bent.
