FRESH AIR FUND.
The promoters of the Fresh Air Fund are making their annual appeal for the assistance of the public in bringing at least one day of sunshine and brightness into the lives of the unhappy children whose hard lot is cast in the slums of the great cities of the Mother Country. Every ninepence subscribed to the fund will provido a day’s outing with, games and friends and a plentiful supply of'food for a child, while ten shillings will pay for its maintenance in a country home or by the seaside for a fortnight. The whole of the expense of management is borne by the promoters.
Subscriptions of any amount will bo received at 23, St Bride Street, London, E.C.. and at the head office and the agencies of the “Lyttelton Times” Company. Envelopes containing subscriptions should be marked “ Fresh Air Fund.” The following amounts have, been received:—
