A message from Ottawa says that investigations conducted by tho Dominion Entomologist have established that there is no connection between jobticks and spinal meningitis. It was previously believed that wood-ticks, which were common in many parts of Canada, conduced, if not caused, the disease. The entomologist, '. however, has established the fact that the Rocky Mountain fever is due to the woodticks’ bite. The disease is of the spotted variety, and is frequently fatal in Montana and Idaho. ROOSEVELT’S CANDIDATURE.
