PICTURE SHOWS.

TO THE EDITOR.

Sir, —Will you allow me a little space in which to express my disgust and disapproval of the class of pictures too often shown at the various picture shows, particularly at holiday matinee shows for children? Ido not consider the trickery, .chicanery and conspiracy of kings and nations with their armies, armed with spears, guns and other implements of human slaughter, scattering death on every hand, • to- be an educating or edifying picture for young children. . Some will call me a fanatical Puritan. Lot them, but I prefer love and kindness or industrial pictures to pictures of brutality.—l am, etc., *A. J. M’ENTEE.
