Tho ordinary sizes from quarter-plate upwards will be accepted, and tho subjects may be ef almost any land, such, for instance, as land and seascapes, town and country incidonts, figure studies, agricultural, pastoral and bush scenes, yachting and boating views, and novelties and originalities in photography. In fact, the choice of subject will be left to photographers themselves. The photographs must not previously hav# been published. Half-plates and full plates are the best sizes for reproduction purposes. Prints should be sent in flat and not rolled. Particulars of the subject and the name and address of the taker should be written on the back of each print in pencil. Some of the best photographs will be chosen for reproduction in the Christmas number of the “ Canterbury Times,” and will be PAID FOR AT SPECIAL RATES All other accepted photograph, will be PAID FOR AT CURRENT RATES The General Excellence of tho “ CANTERBURY TIMES ” and its large and ever-increasing circulation, make it the greatest advertising medium in New Zealand. It is the most legitimate household journal published in the Dominion and has tamed its high place m public estimation from the wealth of instructive and entertaining matter that appears in it from week to week ; from the reliableness of lie statements and general authenticity, and irom the general wealth of its pictorial productions.
