LONDON, April 10.

The crow of the steamer Ontario escaped, to shore, leaving the vessel in flames. She lies on the rocks, and the flames are pouring from all sides, and a heavy sea is battering her to pieces, presenting a most remarkable spectacle. All the cargo has been lost.

PORT DARWIN, April II

The steamer Montora, from Singapore, reports speaking wirelessly the Koombana on March 21. She was unable to catch the Koombana’s signals clearly, but learned that she was in trouble.

FISHING YACHT WRECKED. [Per Prkis Association.] AUCKLAND, April 11. The fishing yacht Edna was wrecked at Pigeons and H a total loss. She was driven ashore by a heavy sea, and the owner, Mr Gallagher, who was the only person on board, was rescued by a passing scow.
