The Bishop of Oxford states that wages no longer settle themselves by the law of supply and demand. A proper bdsis for the reconstruction of Society is the principle that adequate payment for labour should be the first charge upon industry. A permanent standard wage would doubtless entail a standard of efficiency in the worker.
