INTER-CLUB MATCHES. Tho Junior inter-club matches were continued on Saturday in fine weather. United played Avonsido at Avcnside, St Albans played South Christchurch at South Christchurch, *nd Opawa played Linwood at Cranmer. Addington had a bye. Following are the results : United v. Avonside. Singles—Thompson (A.) beat Goss (U.), 9-8; Goodman (A.) beat Brown (U.), 9-7; M'Carthy (U.) beat O'Conne'.l (A.). 9-8; Jameson (U.) beat Poison (A.), 9-3. Doubles—Goodman and Thompson (A.) boat Goss and Brown (U.), 9-7; M'Carthy and Jameson (U.) beat O'Connell and Poison (A.)', 9-8. United won by 49 games to 46. St Albans v. South Christchurch. Siniles—Ackroyd (S. Ch.) heat N. G. Henley (St A.), 9-2; Hawkins (S. Ch.) beat Kirk (St A.). 9-7; Lyons (St A.) beat Anderßon (S. Ch.), 9-3; R. Henley (St A.) bent Hartle (S. Ch.), 0-5. Double*—Hawkins and Ackroyd (S. Ch.) beat N. Henley and Kirk (St A.), 9-4; R. Henley and Lyons beat Hartlo and Anderson, 9-5. The match was a draw, both oides winning forty games. Opawa v. Linwocd. Opawa beat Linwood by seven games. Following are tho scores:—Barlow (L.) beat Burnet (O.), 9-4; Longton (O.) beat Harrison (L.), 9-8; Schmidt (L.) beat Bowron (O.), 9-6; Menrics (O.) beat Ccxhcad (L.), 9-6; Burnet and Longton (O.) beat Barlow and Harrison (L.), 9-3; Bowron and Menrios (O.) beat Schmidt and Coxhoad (L.), 9-4. Totals:—Opawa 46, Linwood 39. LYTTELTON v. OPAWA. A match played at LytteHon on Thursday between Lytteltcn and Opawa Clubs was wen by the homo team by 88 games to 83.
