The verdict of the Court of Inquiry into the Delhi wreck was that tho vessel was not navigated with proper seamanlike care, and that the loss was due to tho master's default. Considering the master's unblemished character, the trying circumstances, and tho ability shown by the master after tho casualty, tho Court refrained from dealing with his certificate. The Court found that the Delhi was not supplied with proper and sufficient charts and sailing directions.
