Sergeant Mac Donnell was attempting to arrest a foreigner at Warren when the latter drew a rcvolvor and shot Mac Donnell through tho heart. Deatli was instantaneous. The foreigner was subsequently arrested. SYDNEY WATER SUPPLY. The city water supply has been restored and is now normal. A STABBING CASE. PERTH. December 27. An Italian named Sileno fatally stabbed a miner named Darlington. The affair, resulted from tho latter calling Sileno a scab.
