LONDON, September 4. Wheat. —The total quantities of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom amount to 2,610,000 quarters, and for the Continent to 1,905,000 quarters. Atlantic shipments are 273,000 quarters. The total shipments to Europe this week are 1,165,000 quarters, including from the Argentine 65,000 quarters, from Russia 205,000 quarters, from the Danubian provinces 805,000 quarters, from India 137,000 quarters, and from Australasia 60,000 quarters. Shares.—Waihi 70s to 725, Grand Junction 26s 6d to 27s lOd.

River Plate shipments of meat are as follow: —Mutton, 222,500 carcases: lambs, 99,000; frozen beef, 125,500 quarters; chilled beef, 145,650 quarters. Wheat.—Tho Wakanui's cargo sold at 86s 4d, Australian cargoes 37s 3d. Another cargo and 11,000 quarters of Victorian Ootober shipment sold at 37s 6d. Three months' bills, 3Jd. RISE IN WHEAT.
