THE HON D. BUDDO.

' INVERCARGILL, May 18. The Hon D. Buddo went to-day to Seaward Moss, and there attended a sale at the recently opened saleyards, and was entertained by tho settlers. He delivered an address, in which he covered old ground, incidentally defending the borrowing policy of the Government, and saying that people who settled out back in bush and swamp deserved encouragement. Mr G. J. Anderson, member for Mataura, also spoke. Mr Buddo received several deputations in regard to matters of purely local concern. He will leave by the first express in the morning for Dunedin.
