THE GREYMOUTH RESERVES.

[From Our Correspondent.] GREYMOUTH, Apjil 2. As a result of a meeting of Kaiapoi and West Coast beneficiaries in the Greymouth Native reserve, Mr W. H. Urn states that it has been agreed that the Maoris shall give a thirtythree years' lease with a right of renewal at 5 per cent. It was also further resolved that a further 5 per cent should be charged if the rent is not paid on the date when it is due, and if not then paid within twenty-one days the conditions of the leases shall be enforced. Furthermore, it was resolved that Parliament should be approached with regard to appointing an advisory board to the Public Trustee for all lands on the West Coast under the administration of the Public Trustee. The proposal for a thirty-three years' lease at 5 per cent is not likely to be entertained, as the rentals would,be further increased thereby.
