DRAINAGE BOARD. CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD. IN THE MATTER of "The Christohurch District Drainage Act, 1907," and of the "Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and of the "Local Elections and Polls Aot, 1908," and the Acts amending the same respectively. PUBLIC NOTICE~IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Poll of the Ratepayers of that part of the Christchurch Drainage District known as "The Spreydon District Special Rating Area," more' particularly described in the schedule hereto, and of all persons entitled to vote on any proposal of the Christchurch Drainage Board to raise a loan in respect of the Special Rating Area, will be taken on THURSDAY, the sixth day of April, "911, on the proposal of the Christchurch Drainage Board, as advertised in the "Lyttelton Times" newspaper on February 25th, March 4th, 11th and 18th respectively, to raise a Special Loan of FIVE THOUSA*D POUNDS (£5000) for the purpose of deepening and widening Wilderness Drain from Edinburgh Street to the River Heathcote and pf constructing a brick sewer along Barringlon Street, and of carrying out other works for the more efficient draining of the subdivision of the Christchurch Drainage District described in the schedule hereto for the use and benefit of the inhabitants of the said subdivision. The said Poll will commence at nine o'clock in the forenoon of the date appointed for the same, and will close at six o'clock in the afternoon of the same day. The following will be the polling places: Young Men's Room, Baptist Church, Lincoln Road. Road Board Office, Barrington Street. Marquee on section at corner of Somerfield and Barretta Streets. Commencing at a point being the intersection of the Lincoln Road with the River Heathcote, thence north-easterly by Lincoln Road to Jerrold Street, thence south-easterly and easterly by Jerrold Street and Jackson's Creek to Strickland Street, thence south-easterly ' by Strickland Street to its junction with Colombo Street, thence southerly by Colombo Street to the River Heathcote, thence south-westerly and northwesterly by the River Heathcote to the starting point.
