United States Senate talked out the Permanent Tariff Board Bill, though strongly backed by the GovernSnont. The Bill will again figure on the Congressional programme. Congress voted that the session shall end cn Saturday. President Taft announced that the new session would probably commence on March 15.

CONGRESS CLOSED. NEW SESSION CALLED. (Reeeiver March 6, 12.20 a.m.) NEW YORK. March 5. Congress has ended. The question of reciprocity was not touched. The Senate passed the Permanent Tariff Board Bill, but the Democrats’ obstructive tactics in the Lower Houso killed the measure.

President Taft has called a new Congross for April 4. Reciprocity will bo Ihe sole item on the programme.
